Dr. Günther Horvath

Dr. Günther J. Horvath is a former partner and founder of the International Arbitration Group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Vienna. He is known for his wide range of expertise and has acted as counsel and arbitrator in over 150 high-profile disputes under the rules of ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, VIAC and in ad-hoc arbitrations. His practice specialises in international commercial arbitration with a primary focus on energy, corporate law, post-M&A matters and industrial engineering. Furthermore, Günther also practices corporate law, specialising on family businesses. He speaks German and English, some Italian.
